Buying Points

Buying Points is restricted to two sports, football and basketball only. You can use it to take advantage in football and basketball. Points can be bought on the side or on the total. You can buy from 1/2 a point to a total of 3 points, in 1/2 point increments. Buying points can only be applied to a pointspread wager or to an over/under. You cannot buy points on a moneyline.

The price of purchasing additional point is lower pay off odds Points may be purchased on Total Score wagers when offered (not offered for Baseball Totals) Point may not be purchased on circled games, parlays, teasers and action points.

Up to 3 points may be bought on If bets and Reverses.

It is permissible to move a point spread up to 3 points in your favor. You must pay an extra US$.10 for each half point that the line is moved (you lay -120 instead of -110). When buying a half point that moves the line either on or off 3 it costs US$.20 instead of US$.10.

If you want to win $100 on the Cowboys, but think they will not win by more than a touchdown (seven points), you have the option to buy a half-point (or more) to obtain the line desired. Normally you risk $110 to win $100, but with the purchase of an additional 1/2 point, you instead risk $120 to win $100 with the adjusted line being Cowboys -7.

Broncos -6 1/2
Kansas City Chiefs 42

If a $100 wager is placed on the Broncos -6 1/2 with a 1/2 point buy, the player has a wager on the Broncos -6 points, and must put up $120 to win $100, instead of the usual $110 to win $100. If the player, for example, requests a full 1 point buy to move the pointspread down to -5 1/2, he/she would have to put up $130 to win $100. Buying the pointspread down 1 1/2 points to 5 would cost $140 to win $100, and the full 3 point buy down to 3 1/2 would cost the bettor $170 to win $100. Conversely, the bettor may also buy points on the Chiefs side, and get the line at plus 7, 7 1/2 or 8 points, all the way up to plus 9 1/2 points with the same increase in vigorish. Bettors may also buy points for football totals. In this particular game, bettors could buy an "over" wager with a maximum line move down to 39, or an "under" wager with a maximum line move up to 45.
